The youngest team in MLB is leading their division on August 11

Last edited Thu Aug 11, 2022, 10:35 AM - Edit history (1)

Guardians overtook the Tigers yesterday with a 3-2 victory in Detroit and lead Minnesota by a game in the A.L. Central.

Sure, could be short-lived, especially with many games against the Twins and other play-off-caliber teams still on the schedule.

Really impressive.

Additionally, not only are the Guardians the youngest team in baseball (and younger than a lot of AAA teams), they also have one of the lowest payrolls in the league.

Kudos to Chris Antonetti, President of baseball operations, his staff, Guardian scouts, Terry Francona, his coaching staff and of course the players for such an outstanding effort.

Those baby boys are kickin ass and takin names! This is fun baseball!

I’ve *almost* forgiven them for trading Carrasco (who is having a fantastic season with The Mets).

This triggers the right-wing snowflakes about Cleveland baseball going woke with the name, I’m sure.
