I coached little league and you could not get the African American kids to play. Baseball has become a well off game. Players have to come from households with a lot of disposable money. Gloves are $250.00 bats are $300.00 and travel baseball is in the thousands.

Michael Brantley, but he is recovering from shoulder surgery and not on the roster.

Still, pretty damn whitey white white. Ugh..

the lack of AA players all around. I was wondering if it was me or if there really was a lack of AA players in the MLB.

That is quite interesting. Not sure what it means. Someone upthread noted it was the cost of equipment. I would guess lack of facilities in AA neighborhoods is also a factor.

I've heard over the years that the baseball demographics were headed in this direction, but I don't follow the game and had no idea it had reached this point.
