Related: About this forumMyself and five others did our weekly bike ride
today. We peddled 20 miles on the Wheeling Heritage trail. We practiced our social distanceing. We range in age from 65 to 82 years old. It was a beautiful day sunny in the 60s.

(36,705 posts)hard to see on cell phone. I was in Leadville in 1994 I love Colorado hope to get there again sometime. We have lots good trails here in Ohio, PA and WV. The Pittsburgh area is great another good trail system is in Zenia Ohio.

(36,705 posts)adjusting to the altitude 10000'. I live on a hilltop here in Ohio it's only 1200' and down on the Ohio river only 600'.
Sure would like to try it someday. Trail Link has some pictures taken in September, there is nothing prettier than the golden
aspens mixed in the evergreen forest. I was there in mid September of 1995. Thanks for sharing.

(18,470 posts)I went to Peru last winter for vacation and it wasn't easy for us to adapt after we arrived in Cusco after being in Lima. (The areas we were in were from 8,000' to 12,000' above sea level). Most of us - myself included - had mild issues but there were a few people who struggled with the high altitude. One guy who was younger than me needed oxygen and a young woman on the trip was really under the weather the first night in the higher altitude.
