Our most common peckers (aside from sapsuckers) are the Downy WP and the Acorn WP. However, with the persistent die off of drought/insect-stressed conifers over the past decade, avian demographics are shifting.

The are big, and they are LOUD when they pound on the trees! They are also hilarious when they have to twist themselves into a pretzel to get into the suet feeder in the winter.
