Birders
Related: About this forumI gotta go buy some mealworms!
I have lived in my home over thirty years, and in all that time I've seen one bluebird.
Today I was having a coffee and reading DU, and I heard a bird call I'm not familiar with.
Merlin told me it is a bluebird, and that made my morning! 🌄

(36,371 posts)1. I usually have a couple of pairs of blue bird show up in late winter, early spring
They rarely come close to the apartment but they hang out in the hedge out by the road and eat the berries off the holly tree. Now I know where to look for them I see them every year. There are plenty of bluebird boxes people put up in this area

(2,170 posts)3. Actually,I put one up this year...
But I doubt it will get any attention. Had a bat house up for years and it didn't even get the attention of the wasps ☹️
The same is true of the martin house that has been up for ever!
