Male cardinal eating Norway spruce seeds

Birds are coming to my neighbor's Norway spruce to graze the developing pine cones. Taken this afternoon.

Have you done any paintings of cardinals? If you have, I'd love it if you'd post one in this thread. Your painting of Hazel-rah was the perfect complement to my photo of the rabbit posted on Monday.

Thank you for the nice compliment on my Hazel-rah! I’ve always had a soft spot for rabbits (we had a lop-eared gray bunny as a pet for a while). I’m extremely mercurial when it comes to subject matter for my drawings and paintings, so, who knows, perhaps a cardinal will be in the works soon!
