Update on my bird friends (it's good)

So far no sign of the cat returning. I trimmed the shrub back along the railing where it could hide and have been keeping an eye out. Tomorrow will be the real test, it’s supposed to be sunny and beautiful all day.

The Catbirds have been going in and out of their shrub but haven’t been up to the railing to visit me today. It could be the rain, or it could be my new, potential other bird friends! A Rose Finch couple (I think?) have been checking out real estate, including my hanging basket and an abandoned Robin’s nest in the rafters of the covered deck. I’ve also seen a hummingbird checking out the flowers in the hanging basket and getting snacks!

I’ll be outside all day tomorrow so will be on guard.
