That's a big fledgling, isn't it? Large claws, too! The people who worked to restore it to health did a great job.

... are BIG birds! Not as large as eagles, but impressive, nonetheless. We see 'em all up here in central Vermont.

was taken to hospital and the docs used pliers to retract the talons . 600 psi crushing force . fellow on yt called enoch animal rescue . very interisting.

The mother hawk was treated and released near her nest on the NY Athletic Building, after only a few days and has been caring for her young.
The fledglings have left the nest only a few days ago to explore the park and return to the nest. One of them has also been rescued from the street by a pedicab driver and released to the park near their nest about two days ago. They have been lucky so far.
