Adult gray catbird teaching fledgling to forage for insects.

I watched this "lesson" occurring for several minutes before the pair flew. The adult rustled through the leaf litter, sometimes throwing leaves into the air, and turned to the fledgling, which seemed to be expecting to be fed. Taken this morning at Tanger Arboretum, Lancaster, PA.

The fledgling does seem to be saying: "Well, where's my food, Ma? C'mon!" CaliforniaPeggy Jun 27 #2
