While camping at a high Cascades mountain lake last week we saw an osprey successfully catch trout to take back to a nest. The bird caught fish on most of the dives it made.

Tho I live @ river side, with a big old osprey nest next door, I've never seen any of them CATCH fish!

is to turn the fish to align with their own body as they return to the nest...making it easier (or even possible) to fly.
