''It is difficult to get open looks of the eggs and chicks in the nests at the Smith Oaks Rookery. I did manage to obtain a few images in which parts of the birds were not obscured.''

Egrets, herons, spoon bills and the 10 ft alligators that wait patiently under the nests.

It's managed by the Houston Audubon society and handicapped accessible. I highly recommend it to anyone who can visit the Texas gulf coast between mid March and early May.
