Make it 17 consecutive years that Mike Tomlin has never had a losing record

The Steelers finish 10-7 despite having some real struggles on offense this season. The defense played really well, but some of the star players there are aging.

Pittsburgh can still make the playoffs, but only if the Bills and Jaguars to both lose.

Tomlin, by the way, is 173-100-2 over his NFL career.

Was rootin for Pittsburg with no skin in the game.
Conditions looked miserable - cold rain in cold air.
Does Pittsburg have a RB named Harris?
Thought there were a lot of Steelers fan at the game. Kind of surprised me.

Najee Harris. He didn't have a great season but he seems like an upstanding individual. Hopefully he'll bounce back with a stronger campaign next year.

He deserves credit for that, for sure. But despite his winning seasons, Pittsburgh is, and had been for many seasons, a very mediocre franchise, and is likely to stay mediocre as long as Tomlin remains the head coach.

The Rooney family has done an outstanding job keeping the Steelers relevant and competitive for the past 50 years. That includes the hire of Tomlin as head coach (note—holding my nose as I write this because that history includes the employ of the odious Ben Roethlisberger, who is one of the luckiest felons to walk Earth).

has been critical of the coaching lately because it's good for getting people to tune into his podcast.
