Really don’t like any facial hair. Ari’s 5-o’clock shadow is great but give me a clean-shaven man anytime.

i had a bf once who was a bit on the homely side til he grew a beard. like lincoln, he has a lantern jaw.
made him pretty fine. he aged real well, too. kept the beard.

he had a beard. Neatly trimmed, not too long.

I didn't see his face until the day I told him I was pregnant with our first child. He shaved the beard off. I told him that had I known what he really looked like, I might not have married him, and I definitely wouldn't have had his children.

And here's something interesting. Maybe ironic, not sure what word to use.

Both of our sons have an auto-immune disorder called alopecia areata, which involves hair loss. The oldest son went bald at the age of four, the younger at the age of ten. And they both have the most extreme version, alopecia areata universalis, meaning no hair of any kind whatsoever: no eyebrows, eyelashes, arm or leg hair. When they were little, people would look at them and think, "Oh, no! Cancer, chemotherapy." In reality, they were the healthiest kids ever. But I remember many times being out in public with one, or both, and seeing people check them out and then look at me with enormous sympathy, and I could see them thinking, "Oh, that poor woman. Two of them!" And I couldn't help but kind of laugh or giggle, because there was absolutely nothing wrong with them, just that they were different because of the alopecia.

The other interesting thing about having a couple of totally bald kids, is that I sometimes got special treatment. Such as being upgraded to first class seats on a flight. Again, I'm sure the gate agents took one look at those two little bald boys, and thought, cancer, two of them. I did not turn down the upgrades.

A fortune saved not paying for hair cuts or shampoo. Plus, time saved just getting up, and heading out the door, not needing to shave or comb hair.

They absolutely looked quite different from other kids. My sons wound up attending a small, secular independent school in Kansas City (the Barstow School for those of you who might be familiar with it) and I always introduced myself to new moms as the mother of the two bald kids.

What I find most interesting, is that in recent years, any time I'd ask, and I'd get about four words into the question: "If there were any cure . . ." they knew where I was going (". . . any cure for alopecia.&quot they'd immediately say, "NO!" Life without hair was simply a whole lot easier, and since they'd both gotten alopecia at relatively young ages, they were just fine.

Here's another interesting thing. The very first NAAF (National Alopecia Areata Foundation) conference that we went to, was eye-opening. First off, being in a large room with lots of bald people. Sending my son off on a kid thing, and then having trouble finding him when they got back because I was used to his being the only bald kid, or the only one wearing a hat, and now there was an entire room filled with bald or hatted kids.;

married 39 years and have never seen my husband without a beard. I have seen him in pictures as a teenager without a beard and he was cute. Anyway, I like Kelce’s beard, long or short.

My wife is good with it, so it's staying that way.
But, I trim my goatee at least every 4 days, so I do keep it neat.
My wife would be most displeased if I had the bushy, unkempt look.

It grosses me out. These guys remind me of the pictures on the Smith Brothers cough drops box. I’m looking forward to the time that this beard thing isn’t a thing any more. Give me a clean, smooth faced fella anytime! And Thanks for letting me vent!! Lol!

I’ve seen hockey players/teams keep beards growing for the span of the long playoff seasons, seen baseball players do the same.
