Green Bay Packers climb to 13th on Forbes' ranking of NFL team values
GREEN BAY Forbes says the value of the Green Bay Packers increased 22% during the last year, reaching $5.6 billion. It was the third-largest increase in the league, and vaulted the Packers from 20th to 13th place.
The value of every other NFL team increased as well, although for the ninth place Chicago Bears, it was only 2%, the smallest gain in the 32-team league. Every team in the league now is worth more than $4 billion. Forbes estimated that every team was profitable last season. The full report can be read here.
The Dallas Cowboys retained their perennial No. 1 ranking. Forbes estimated the Cowboys were worth $10.1 billion, the first sports franchise to top the $10 billion level. That makes the Cowboys the most valuable sports franchise in the world. The NFL is the world's richest sports league and Dallas has held the top ranking for 18 consecutive years, Forbes said.
The Packers were ranked the 31st most valuable franchise worldwide in 2023.
