even down here in Texas I was watching my Facebook feed as Dallas fans were saying "we love Romo - we don't want Manziel" - it was hilarious. Well maybe he can cool his jets in Cleveland for awhile and actually develop into a decent player. Definitely talent there but his head's been bigger than the football the past couple of years. Maybe this will bring him back down to earth.

Love love love Ha ha - Morgan needs help at safety and this should do it. Great pick for the Pack.

I was loving it!!

Poor Johnny. Sitting there watching other guys go before him...even some of his own teammates from college.

Like someone else said, maybe this will knock him down a peg or two and force some much needed humility on him.

He could perhaps be a huge talent in the coming years as long as he doesn't think he already IS one without earning his stripes, so to speak.

Here's what he said after being drafted by Cleveland... “I don’t know if the world could have handled that, honestly,” Manziel said about the possibility of being drafted by the Cowboys. A full account of the statement.....

NEW YORK — Johnny Manziel’s post-draft news conference at Radio City Music Hall was interrupted by some rowdy Cleveland Browns fans, chanting “Johnny Cleveland.” Those fans, who Manziel described as “loyal” and die hard” earlier while he spoke to the media Thursday night, were quickly whisked away, but the reaction could have been larger had the Dallas Cowboys selected Johnny Football when he still was on the board at No. 16. “I don’t know if the world could have handled that, honestly,” Manziel said about the possibility of being drafted by the Cowboys. Manziel has a relationship with Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones, but Dallas selected Notre Dame offensive tackle Zack Martin instead. Manziel, who was expected to be drafted in the top 10, had to wait until No. 22 overall to be selected by the Browns. That number might make Browns fans shudder, since it’s the same selection that draft busts Brady Quinn and Branden Weeden were drafted by Cleveland. “That’s a little bit of a trend,” Manziel said. “I don’t know what to say about that. It speaks for itself.” The Browns fans in New York clearly weren’t bothered, however. After Manziel’s news conference was over, the chanting, which now included “Johnny Super Bowl,” started up again. Manziel welcomes a new era for the Browns.

Nope, he's one of those loud mouths, have a tad of talent, but will crash and burn in the NFL.....and it'll be so perfect when he, like "teebow" was so hyped, and then reality will set in. Can't wait to see it. Ugh..... and I know teebow wasn't a loud mouth.

Mr Pipi loves Johnny Manziel...thinks he walks on water, almost. He gets upset when I tell him I want to see Manziel get his ass kicked in the NFL.

HOUSTON -- Texans outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney had sports hernia surgery in Philadelphia on Thursday, coach Bill O'Brien said Friday. Clowney flew to Philadelphia on Thursday to undergo an examination for a groin issue, then underwent the surgery. O'Brien said Clowney will be ready for training camp.

O'Brien said it hadn't bothered Clowney for long.

"We just looked at it as, let's take care of it now, and he'll be ready for training camp," O'Brien said. "And we're looking forward to seeing him in training camp."

The Texans drafted Clowney first overall out of South Carolina last month. He's been a full participant in the team's voluntary offseason program, previously missing only practices that NFL rules didn't allow him to attend when he was invited to the NFLPA's rookie premiere.

The outside linebacker reportedly had a nagging groin injury during a very impressive showing at his pro day in April.
