(29,351 posts)They have a really good freshman quarterback and good receivers that caught his passes plus Oregon was playing in the House of Heat.

(1,337 posts)that the 4 teams are Clemson, Ohio State, LSU and Georgia. The committee screws teams from the west. I hope Utah makes it in, but they still have to beat Oregon in the pac-12 championship

(31,261 posts)The Bulldogs (as a Gator, it makes me want to to even mention that forsaken team) only have one loss, so if they just edge LSU, both get in. But if Georgia blows out LSU or LSU beats Georgia and Utah handles Oregon, only one SEC team gets in, with Utah being the 4th team in under any circumstance listed above. There is a remote chance that Wisconsin could beat OSU and Georgia pounds LSU, in that case if Utah handles Oregon, it could rise to the #3 playoff team, I can't envision them being ahead of Georgia in that scenario.
All the stuff above is why I think that the NCAA should expand the field to 8 or 16 teams, with the 7th/8th or 15th/16th slots being decided in four team mini-playoff (for example BCS ranked 7th ranked team takes on the 10th rank and the 8th ranked team take on the 9th, the two winners get seeded 7th and 8th in the national championship playoff starting field).
