Reading between the lines re Deshaun Watson

I'm and man and all women are fucking liars.

One week after a scathing report from the New York Times accused Deshaun Watson of using at least 66 female massage therapists over a 17-month span, the Cleveland Browns’ quarterback continued to proclaim his innocence.

Fielding questions from reporters Tuesday morning in his first public comments since March, Watson struck the same tone that he has maintained since the accusations first surfaced.

“Like I’ve said, I’ve never assaulted anyone, never harassed anyone, never disrespected anyone, never forced anyone to do anything,” Watson said.

I know that first sentence is not what he "actually" said, but that's my biased takeaway.

a while ago. That’s when it was at 24 not 66.

Sounds like big rich QB expected whatever HE wanted. I said that because a huge part of every pro athletes life is recovery. Recovering to play the next game. Especially in football. Even the NBA finals is spanned out - some for TV but also for recovery. As far as I know, once an athlete gets a team together (massage, physical training, dietitian) they stick with that team. 66?

7. The ex-players that have spoken out, like Jay Williams, have said that over their careers

This is true. Dee Haslam, the owners wife, led the investigation.

Doesn't everybody believe her?

not quite as horrific. I'll never understand how Watson has managed to avoid being indicted for multiple offenses.

Last year he agreed to a plea deal sentencing him to 14 years in prison.

I never heard anything bad about Kellen Winslow, his father. We were in law school together for a while (I was in the day program and he was in the night program at the University of San Diego, though I think he finished somewhere else).
