Now that Garappolo is staying with the 49ers ...

I like their chances to make the playoffs.

One concern: the interior O-line is a HUGE question mark. I'm imagining Kyle Shanahan has developed a strategy to address this.

Other than that (and barring major injury), the team looks pretty sound.

It's a 17-game season.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I guess 11-6 would be okay. 12-5 would be better.

Week 3: Sunday, September 25 at Broncos

Week 4: Monday, October 3 vs. Rams

Week 6: Sunday, October 16 at Falcons

Week 7: Sunday, October 23 vs. Chiefs

Week 8: Sunday, October 30 at Rams

Week 9: BYE

Week 10: Sunday, November 13 vs. Chargers

Week 12: Sunday, November 27 vs. Saints

Week 13: Sunday, December 4 vs. Dolphins

The Georgia QB was the cover on one side. Flip it over for the NFL side. Joe Burrow was on the cover.

was wondering exactly what the rumblings were about Garoppolo that kept other teams from picking up on him, since the teams he'd been on had done pretty damn well. I said it about had to boil down to one of two things, politics or sexuality, and I hadn't heard any gossip on either. So let him stay where he is and good on the 49ers. I'm a Packer backer myself since childhood.

That appears to be a part of their decision to keep him.
