So the other day I finally got my first legendary drop - a really nice amulet called the Murlocket.

Nice locket but didn't really add much in strength. With the high Intell it seemed more of a magic user amulet. I checked out the prices in the Auction House and it seemed they were going for about 500k-2000k in gold - WOWZA.
My Amulet's plus was that I had max on the Intell and Resistance - in fact of all the amulets for sale on the auction house none of them had max Intell/All Resistance. On the negative side - mine didn't have a socket and some of them did.
I had played a bit with the amulet and it was a pretty nice piece. The other thing I noticed was my speed picked up - it added alot of speed to my walk.
But the prices these were being sold was just amazing. I mean I am lucky any given day I have 10k in my bank. I tend to die alot ( ) plus anytime I do have some extra lindens I was training my Crafting skills.
I'm not some hardcore gamer. I play Diablo 3 to hang out with some friends. So although the amulet would have had some major pluses to my character, overall I felt the one downside of gaming was that I was scraping by with cash.
So as a whim I put it on the AH for 1500k with 2000k buyout. I figured if someone really wants it they can have it. Probably in 6 months I'll be able to buy that Amulet at the AH for a tenth of the cost.
Would you believe someone bought it! I cashed out 1,350,000 this morning.

(8,601 posts)I'm really happy for you, and I hope you get some more orange drops soon.
Have yet to see a single one myself, but then I'm still devoting a lot of time to EverQuest 2. So many games, so little time!

"Dredged from the murky shores of Lake Chu, this disturbing amulet emits strange sounds when held to one's ear."
For those of you who didn't play WoW - this is a murloc and they make annoying sounds:
Seriously, congratulations. I'll bet whoever bought it bought in part because it's the Murloc-ket. LOL
