World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Coming Sept. 25

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2407637,00.asp

Blizzard Entertainment, the company behind the recently released Diablo III, announced that World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, the fourth expansion set in one of the world's most popular MMOs, will be available in stores and online starting Sept. 25.

Mists of Pandaria places Alliance and Horde explorers on the long-lost continent of Pandaria. The expansion features a new playable race (the Pandaren) with its own starting zone and quests, a new character class (the monk), and a new level cap of 90.

The expansion also includes a host of new gameplay elements designed to give players more ways to game: a new, cooperative player vs. enemy trial, challenge modes, and an all-new pet battle system.

"Mists of Pandaria contains the biggest variety of new content we've ever created for a World of Warcraft expansion, with features that will appeal to new players, veterans, and everyone in between," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We've received a lot of great feedback from players during our most extensive beta test yet, and we hope they enjoy exploring everything Pandaria has to offer when the expansion comes out in September."

I cancelled my scrip to WOW last December. LOTRO was my drug of choice until The Secret World came out.

and I'm not into that cutsey animal thing at all so not sure if I can get excited about Pand. I'll check it out later and see.

I just subscribed to WoW so am a beginner - lot's of time to change my mind.

on in the last few years, is leaving the game engine open for community developed mods. Every few months i download new ones for fallout, oblivion, and skyrim.

I wish more game developers would do that, but i dearly wish more publishers would not think that PC gamers want to be limited by the restrictions of consoles, there has never been such a thing as a good console port, even skyrim suffers from that.

If i wanted to put out $60 bucks for a game with limited capabilities just for 12 hours of game play, I would not have given up consoles a long time ago.
