Riftaxe
(2,693 posts)It really is quite an entertaining game with very nice graphics.
My only complaint with it is that the PC version seems like a direct port from the console, making the control scheme quite awkward (a keyboard tends to have more then 4 or 6 buttons so navigating through menu and inventory, and hot key options is a bit irritating)
Occulus
(20,599 posts)It remakes the menus so they're more accessible to PC gamers. Be advised, without using the installer provided by the Skyrim Mod Nexus, this mod is a tad complex to install.

You can make the PC version much, much better than the consoles by following Nvidia's tweak guides for Skyrim. Although some sections refer to the Nvidia Control Panel for certain tweaks, many of the best tweaks are in the .ini files themselves.
To put it simply, a properly tweaked PC version of Skyrim will look and play better than any console version. This is yet another case in which, when presented with a choice between a PC version and a console version of the same game, the PC version automatically wins, right out of the gate.

(29,047 posts)How hard would making "I" for inventory and "S" for spells be?

Added Val's Crafting and QD Inventory too.

(2,431 posts)...all the cool stuff gone and all the stuff to track you beefed up. Why would anyone pay for such a thing just to get games a month earlier?
Get Skyrim on PC.
I play with the following mods:
1. SkyUI (a must-have, IMO)
2. Deadly Dragons (+DD Armory)
3. Warzones: Civil Unrest
4. Proudspire Manor -- Dragonborn Edition
5. Ultimate Follower Overhaul
6. Occupy Skyrim

(24,096 posts)and reversing gravity so now my house decorating can't go any further and that was a big part of my enjoyment of the game. It was a grand pain in the ass to place objects anyway but the one good thing WAS when you picked up a bottle it auto stood up rightly, now it's upside down and pointless to try.
wtf, I'm mad as hell but will probably take it anyway.

(2,431 posts)...The Breezehome (or Honeyside or whatever) Home Decorating Fairy!
Could be a lot of fun for someone who knows what they are doing.
A purple Flame Atronach or something that comes with the house and has an accessible inventory. Place items in the inventory, which would be categorized by possible locations/rooms in the house, then exit inventory and watch the items appear, right-side up, approximately where you want them to go.
Sounds do-able, but I don't know thing-one about modding, so my torchbug-in-a-jar remains on the floor where I left it after getting tired of trying to place it on my enchanting table in Proudspire Manor
*SIGH*

(24,096 posts)I started that with Riften, the bedroom floor eventually will be filled with flowers. I've got Daedra hearts gathered in a basket on the floor (they are such a brilliant beautiful red) surrounded by those big blue flower thingies. The bed and chest at the foot of the bed are covered too. And I have one of those spinny red things I found in a Dwarven mine sitting on the night table.
It looks sweet. Maybe I'll just obsess on that now instead of bottles.
grrrrrr. Why would they fool with the bottle gravity, I still can't believe they did this! (so mad)

(138 posts)And I got it in '07
Aerows
(39,961 posts)And I have absolutely no idea how many hours I sank into it, nor how many different machines I upgraded or replaced in the course of playing it. There were so many awesome mods, and so much to do, I never even made it to Shivering Isles.
Alduin
(501 posts)and I'm still irked that Bethesda hasn't come out with the DLC for it yet. I still want to play Dawnguard and Hearthfire.
