64 bit OS, Quad Core CPU, and 6 to 8 GB of Ram?!

I will get it for my PS3 (which has 256mb of Ram) and see how it is before I pony up for it on my PC. While it looks interesting, it better be frakin' fantastic and have graphics running better than Crysis 3!

The game is going to be released for the PS3 with 256 mb of ram, but the PC version needs 6 GB. PS4 and Xbone will probably take a few GB of ram themselves.

How did they make a game that can run on so little resources (PS3 and 360) while at the same time make versions that consume so much resources on PC and probably the next gen consoles as well?

and how much is reality.

I am fairly used to PC ports requiring more power for better graphics. F.E.A.R. and Bioshock were both like that. I certainly don't mind a great game getting even better FPS & higher resolution textures on the PC, but these requirements are a bit prohibitive for most current gen PC gamers. My workstation has the power, but my gaming rig would require more Ram and a reinstall of x64 Windows 7 instead of x86.

And no exaggerated advertising I think most PC gamers are going to need to upgrade. The next gen is barely stating and the requirements are already exploding and they are only going to rise.

On one hand, I'm kinda excited to see what Watch Dogs can accomplish with 6 GB of ram. On the other hand, I feel sorry for anyone that needs to upgrade and can't at the moment. I'm lucky and built my PC fairly recently so it's got a good 3 years left I think. Longer for the CPU (i5 2500k). Probably going to need a GPU upgrade in a year or two (7870 Ghz ).
