Hi,
If you have a PS3, I think there are a lot more free games with it. I am new to the Playstation and have a PS4, the two games I have got for free both sucked royally. In March it was a really bad Zombie game that I could not figure out how to aim with. This month it is Mercenary Kings, which is a scroller that transports me back to the 80s and is not appealing to me. I was NOT expecting top of the line free games, but I was expecting something I could at least play for awhile.
On Edit- For PS4 you need to have it to do multiplayer. I tried that with Assassin's Creed IV and all that consisted of were a gazillion people running around a small map killing each other, nothing like the game itself. I guess I'm just too old to be playing video games :/
Peace

(59,305 posts)I appreciate it. I'm still on the fence about it, my brother loves it but I usually don't take his advice on...well, much.

(12,041 posts)I highly recommend PS+, all you have to do is look at the list of free games they have given away to know it is worth it.
People who have had PS+ since the beginning have been given every single game on the list linked below for free, I don't know how any gamer could possibly look at the list and try to argue that it is not worth $50 a year. PS+ is hands down the best value in console gaming, just follow the link and you will see why.

(29,047 posts)If you have a PS3, then you get top of the line full games for free, which change each month. Games like Batman: Arkham City and Bioshock: Infinate. You also get some indie games free each month. They also offer lots of discounts, usually around 50% off.
If you have a PS4, then you get one little game, since their isn't much out on the PS4 yet, and a few discounts. You need to have Playstation Plus to play online with a PS4.
For both systems, free games only last as long as you have your subscription to Playstation Plus. Anything you have to spend money on you keep after your subscription runs out.
If you only have a PS4, and you don't play online, then I say skip it for now. If you have a PS3, and enjoy a wide variety of games, and you like playing a few different games each month, then it's definitely worth it.

(8,040 posts)It is absolutely worth it to me. I haven't need to buy a new game in a while because I'm inundated in fantastic great free games. BioShock? Devil may cry.? Indie games for vita?
Plus the discounts. Wowsers. Love it. Dont think it would be worth it if you just had one system or ps4, but for me..... I've saved hundreds of bucks.
