Hi,
Besides ZombieHorde's excellent commentaries, what game review sites do you find to be the most reliable. I seem to gravitate towards IGN. Disappointed in only one game, but that is because of the steep learning curve and 8 million options available that feels like a chore, Dragon Age Inquisiton. Maybe it is just not my style of game though.
I see some of the PS Plus free games reviewed on there and they get high ratings, and I have not found many that are worth my time. Again, that could just be the style of games I like.
Peace

(21,894 posts)I love Blues News:
http://www.bluesnews.com/
It's really just a bunch of links to other sites but they are nicely categorized and I find lots of cool stuff there.
I also like Rock, Paper, Shotgun:
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/
They tend to tell you about stuff, at least 'I', never would have heard of.

(11,833 posts)since it's a message board, has links to reviews and you get regular folks talking about the games in a pretty honest way. http://www.gamefaqs.com
I like IGN & Gamespot for video reviews that contain footage of game play.
For compendiums of scores & links to reviews also try metacritic. http://www.metacritic.com

(1,898 posts)For game reviews I use youtubers like Totalbiscuit, That One Video Gamer, and ProJared.
As for mainstream sites Game Trailers and Ign and The Escapist for Zero Punctuation. For gaming news Techraptor, Nichegamer and the Escapist.
For the love of god stay away from Polygon and Kotaku they are crap.

(16,184 posts)TotalBiscuit, ProJared, Angry Joe, Yahtzee, and Jim Sterling. Between all of those, I get some enormously high standards (TotalBiscuit and Yahtzee), whether or not I'm getting a raw deal from Steam/publishers/developers (TotalBiscuit, Jim Sterling, Angry Joe), entertaining reviews (all of them), and if I can't be assed to deal with 30+ minute reviews, short videos on whether a game's worth my time or not (ProJared and Yahtzee).

(29,047 posts)Gamefaqs to read people's general sense of the game and ask any questions I may have, and youtube to see what the game play is actually like.
Thanks for the compliment. I didn't know if anyone actually liked those, especially since I review a lot of horror games.

(10,402 posts)I'll be giving these a look on games I have already played and liked to see if they match up with my assessment and for my next purchase. However, that next purchase may not be until 2017 at the rate I'm playing Dragon Age Inquisition.
Peace
