Metro 2033 Redux
Available on PS4, XONE, PC, and Linux. I played the PS4 version.
Genre: First person shooter with stealth and horror themes.
Story and Presentation: The story and presentation are intertwined. Metro 2033 Redux takes place in Moscow years after nuclear war. The outside air is toxic, so survivors live in the metro underground. Your community is attacked by a new type of monster, and you go on a quest to seek help from another community. The story is simple, but the world and characters are very rich. The game has some spooky parts, but it's not nearly as scary as Slender: The Arrival or P.T.
Gameplay: Very smooth and linear. You move from area to area either fighting, sneaking, or running like hell. Ammo can be scarce, and it's also used as currency, so you need to think about everything you do and pick your fights. I killed many people and monsters, but you can get away with killing very few if you're careful. I liked that there were different ways to approach a situation, even the game is so linear.
Replay: There are different endings and you can try out some different gun layouts.
Overall: A great game experience. I bought Metro Redux, which is Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux on one disc, for $25 on Amazon. $12.50 for each game is a wonderful value, in my opinion. You can download them for $25 each, but I would definitely go for the package deal on Amazon.
This video shows some gameplay and talks about the differences between Metro 2033 and Metro 2033 Redux. I never played the original version, but I guess they made many changes for the better.
