polarized sun/reading glasses, increase the brightness greatly, and have an external battery pack because it's going to eat up juice. It's the same thing I have to do if I'm on a long car trip and am using Google maps, except then I'm able to plug it straight into the car.

We're planning a camping trip in August and just stocked the family up on external batteries - PNY brand, a single charge battery for $10, a double pack of single charge batteries for $14.00 at Staples. You could also get the 2X charge single battery pack for $18. So far, working like a charm!
