A DLC retooled as standalone... I've never seen that before. I'm a bit fuzzy on how this comes across as a standalone. The story is amazing, very funny and even a bit of a tear jerker so... Without playing the main storyline of BL2 it will be missing something. It is however, a great DLC and a great way to get a taste of Borderlands if you have never tried it but are curious. Maybe 10-12 hours for the main storyline... 30 hours or so if you do all the side missions.

... but never given it a try. I'll have to add that to my small backlog.

I did pick up Control when it was free a few months ago, and that's been pretty fun, haven't put in the time to finish it yet, but did pick up the DLC for it, as I figured I should throw the developers a few $.
