Has anyone camped there? Have you used the primitive campsite? What was your opinion.
I'm looking for a place to camp for two nites during the week, between now and November, and don't want to drive to Ocala.

(16,651 posts)I took the ride to the park. Nice trails but only one primitive campsite which has to be reserved in advance and costs a whopping $5.00 a nite.
Gonna wait until January to pitch the tent and spend three nights and two days.

(11,719 posts)....you can rent canoes or kayaks from them or launch your own and they bring you back up river in a bus with a trailer for the boats.
They have campsites also.
