Figs are a delicious treat that thrive in warm climates but can also be grown in more temperate regions with a bit of extra care. Here’s how and when to grow a fig tree, plus harvesting tips for those who planted in spring! Almanac.com/plant/figs

There are LOTS, only a few are ripe. It's a LONG 'bush.' elleng Aug 2022 #2
Was it a good year or is this a usual amount? Seems like fig trees are hard to grow. The Wielding Truth Aug 2022 #3

Well, Maryland, that expians it. Our winters are too harsh. They freeze out. Enjoy. The Wielding Truth Aug 2022 #6

I live in SW Oregon. Dry summers. Hot summers. Mostly mild winters. (Zone 8) I have Brown Turkey and Kadota. Require no care whatsoever, lol. Yields every year require you process. Too many to eat fresh.

Edit to add... readily propagated by air layering.

and I think this 'bush,' 4+ car-length, has been here for many years.

NO CARE from me, or from neighbor/landlords family either. Southern MD.

Is overflowing. I thought I'd killed it several times by not protecting it in the winter, but it's always come back. It's loaded this year. I've made fig jam before & may again. So far, I've just been picking and eating and sharing the bounty.
