I'm not going to wade though a nearly 300 post meta thread to find out but I thought of DU when I saw this.

(38,413 posts)Scope and bipod are a giveaway. When you are shooting somebody in your living room 100 feet away you need magnification and stabilization.

(27,745 posts)You see that wall between the "right wing" and the "garage" - Romney needs to punch through it like a couple of Cadillacs!

I think it's a completely custom rifle.

(26,662 posts)I don't have a clue what "SOP" means either, but maybe it's "stand-off projectile" or "special operations"?

(15,396 posts)This seems like a match made in heaven.
Everything I love about the 1911 without the grip safety, and no beavertail.
rDigital
(2,239 posts)but I liked it because I have stupid large hands and it kept me from getting bit by the slide. It looked just like the one in the picture, but with a beaver tail.

(238 posts)I'm a little ignorant about guns, so I'm curious to know if the gun in that guy's right hand can be purchased by a civilian.
Based on the photo and discussion in this thread, I gather it's an anti-armored vehicle weapon.
