A couple of shots from Sequoia-Kings Canyon (4 pics, not small)

Just got back from a week of lake-hopping in the back-country of SEKI National Park, and thought I'd share a few shots:

Lost Lake again...

We didn't cover a lot of miles, but we had gorgeous weather, great fishing, few skeeters, and even fewer people. And despite the horribly dry year in the Sierra the water was plentiful enough, although the lakes were noticeably low and a few creeks were dry when they shouldn't have been. Even a few wildflowers lingering in the meadows. Didn't see any bears, though...

was getting a bit boring, and I was starting to want hot water (and soap!) in quantities measured by bathtubs rather than by cookpots...

and she was pretty interested in all the fallen/decaying logs and twisted trees in the landscape. She definitely calls me back to photo ops that I've passed by with my eyes on the next ridge...
