Barcelona. Great location in a somewhat gentrified barrio. Would do it again.

Great place, great location, great price. My other daughter is a world traveler, and always uses Airbnb rather than hotels. She has never had a bad experience and has saved lots of money.

I’ve rented apartments in Paris a couple of times a year with great results. Never used Airbnb, so I can’t comment on it. Have also rented in places like Venice, but never in Spain. In Madrid, Seville a year ago in hotels. Doing Venice and Paris this April.

You mention being with another family, implying 4+ people in your group. I have not needed a large apt, but I see them on the web sites. I have had good results with Paris Perfect and with Guest Apartment Services.

Have a great trip.

BTW air conditioning is now important even in Paris. Summers are getting much hotter.

Want to hang out with the other couple. And... whether u want to THINK because you have a stove you have to cook.

There is nothing in the world more romantic than the cool little quaint hotels in Paris and cozy bathrobes and room service. . Cafes to stroll to!!!

we had a rental for two weeks just outside Paris couple years back. It was terrific - and at a much less cost compared to hotels. 2BR 2BA kitchen LR Patio. It was on a working farm and we had a cherry tree right in our back yard and field of snap peas just a few paces away - fresh for our evening salads. We were just a short drive from the train station for our 30-minute trips into Paris.
