Family is watching situation closely. Problems in northern Italy have gotten serious in last week or so.

I don't want to be in a confined space with recirculated air, as in an airplane. I am also concerned that where I'd like to go may turn into a hotbed of the virus.

I was thinking about Ireland this year, but between the virus and the pounding they have taken with storms of late. Perhaps another year would be in order.

Don't want to be captive on the high seas. Too many unknowns. Could have fellow passengers sick, or could be denied port access because of the virus. Hubby has chronic lung issues and can't take the chance. Hopefully we can postpone til next winter, but will take the loss, if necessary. Q

We cancelled our every other year trip to New Zealand. Not panicking or anything but my husband and I are self employed at the same two businesses...we really can’t both be sick at the same time. It would be a real hardship. We will do a little traveling here in the US if this doesn’t get too out of hand.

Around the first of the year, flights to Tokyo were on sale and I was thinking of taking a trip over for cherry blossoms the first week in April. Glad I didn’t act on that idea.
