(19,058 posts)People packed in like sardines, close to one another, who knows what viruses they carry when they sneeze or cough.
I remember when the smoking section was more in the back of the plane. Smoke still made its way throughout the plane before ventilation systems were greatly improved.

You are right, being on a crowded plane is not the time to stop masking.

(2,343 posts)I just returned from a few days in Florida attending a golf tournament. I wore two different masks thewhole trip--one traveling down and one traveling back. No doubt, the worst part of the trip. Many people aren't wearing them anymore at the airports. While at the Jacksonville Airport, once I realized a large number werent wearing theirs, I dispensed with mine. Not one word was said; not even the evil eye from a Karen.
I wear only a KN95 when I do wear a mask. The majority on my flights were wearing cloth masks.
My vote is to leave this vestige of pandemic. It's time.
