Jackson Hole/Lake Jackson

I was there in the early 60’s. Almost Heaven. And that’s a lot coming from a recovering Catholic.

I have to mention the South Louisiana Swamp lands and the alligators. Holy terror and serenity all in the same place.

Lake Louise. 2000 feet up. I showered in a waterfall. It was grand. Summer I was 18.

the glaciers grind against the mountains. I hope they
glacial flour still survives the melting of the glaciers. I can tell that the glaciers on Mt Victoria in Lake Louise is smaller than it was when I lived there.

I had more fun.

I was afraid of heights. Grand Canyon is beautiful.

& I got up from my tent in the morning and a Moose was standing about 5 feet away. (I guess it was looking
for a bite to eat...I didn't give him anything. I was frightened of it, more than anything else. You know how
huge a Moose is 5 feet away.???

train from Anchorage to Seward. The rice fields of Bali were breathtaking. West Bay in Roatan, Honduras. You can snorkel to the reef from the beach. Camping on the islands in the middle of Lake George. Breckinridge, Colorado. First time I’d ever seen the Rocky Mountains.

Also Waterton Lakes, Yosemite and Buchart Gardens

of traveling the United Staes extensively for work... I know that there is beauty and intrigue is most every place. The Redwoods top the list for me, although there is so much! We went out in an airboat in the everglades and Elvis our driver stopped so we could feed and touch/pat a huge alligator often for me the people we encountered made the difference

I was able to hike down into the Grand Canyon twice... Wow! The Konza Prairies of Kansas are amazing, The Grand Tetons were breathtaking and Craters of the Moon National Monument in Idaho is out of this world... https://www.nps.gov/crmo/index.htm

I was so fortunate and have never taken my opportunities for granted... there are so many beautiful and interesting places that just don't get the attention they deserve, both natural wonders and manmade
