Gearing up for a tour of Ireland. Any tips?

Dublin to Killarney and back, visiting several places along the way. If any DUers have spent time there during the winter, I would really appreciate your advice--especially about what sort of weather to be prepared for.

daughter's been there in October. Generally expect rain, damp, chilly/cold, but keep in mind you can buy necessary clothing there, and come away with nice souvenirs.

Enjoy!

and 'Wellies,' that is, boots/rubbers (Wellingtons,) but again, you'll be able to buy those and umbrella over there.

I agree with elleng about the weather, but also don't be surprised if it snows. It did the time that I was there in November. It only lasted a couple of days, but it was definitely sloppy. Good Irish coffee weather, though.

Enjoy!

I'm not sure of the others...It is a college town, so there should be stuff going on.

Have a great time!
