Artist is arrested for stripping NAKED at French Catholic pilgrimage site

PUBLISHED: 11:19 EDT, 3 September 2018 | UPDATED: 23:58 EDT, 3 September 2018

A performance artist has been arrested for posing naked at a Catholic pilgrimage site in the French town of Lourdes.

Infamous provocateur and feminist Deborah de Robertis stripped off at the Sanctuary of our Lady of Lourdes on Friday.

Wearing only a blue veil on her head, she stood in front of a statue adorned with candles and placed her hands in a praying position.

Visitors were visibly shocked by her actions with one upset onlooker even trying to cover her with the veil.

Let's check my memory...could that be a former model for Picasso. The Roman Catholic Church did not appreciate his art.

(The Detroit Institute of Art counts him as a patron.)

spend taxpayer dollars to hide statues of women in the Justice Department? We know he did. As for the "miracles" myth, Lourdes, it is a scam. imo

Offended him, they did. Covered them up, too. No bare titties in his Justice Department, I'll have you know.

Hilarious. We're all naked, really. All our lives. We just cover up and pretend we're not. The naked truth is still there, though.

When I have a dream in which I am naked in public, people look at me funny, but they never call the cops. Just lucky I guess.

...I'm dreaming naked...or is that naked dreaming?

Either way, no one notices that I'm flying or, let alone, naked.

I wonder where said outrage ranks in comparison to, say, robbing women and girls of their right to reproductive health.

I'm surprised that people didn't just snap some photos and move on, sort of. That's what I'd have done, if I were there, but Lourdes is not one of those places that's on any of my bucket lists.
