The HillThe online petition seeks to have Good Omens, a show on Amazon Prime that tells the story of a demon and an angel who team up to defeat the antichrist and prevent the apocalypse, removed from Netflix.
As first reported by The Guardian, the effort is being orchestrated by the Return to Order campaign, which brands itself as a special campaigns of The Foundation for a Christian Civilization online.
The group lists a number of ways in the petition in which it believes the series presents devils and Satanists as normal and even good, where they merely have a different way of being, and mocks God's wisdom.

(17,001 posts)I read the book it was made from a long time ago, and the show is pretty close to how I imagined it. I'll bet most Prime members like it. Who cares what some little group of fundy nutjobs thinks.

(15,612 posts)That's kind of a first. I may not be remembering correctly, but I don't recall any petitions in the last 10 to 20 years from groups like NOM (remember that storm coming due to gay marriage?), that Million Moms group (I think it was Million Moms for Marriage, and they abbreviated it MM4M, which looks like a personal ad abbreviation of either two men or a married man looking for another man), that actually succeeded.
They should be proud.
