(34,660 posts)what it will take to turn the majority of Christians in this country away from Trump?
As of now, he will still get the "Christian vote", but less of it.
We can only hope this trend continues.

(36,899 posts)Unless you attend a church that gives sermons in Spanish, youd probably best not say anything that supports or defends immigration unless you want to find yourself on the outside looking in. Not only are they a de facto cheering section for Trump, they are the de facto membership wing of the wingnuttiest of the alt-right. Youd be hard pressed to find a more narrow-minded group of batshit crazy bigots outside of a baptist church around here.
Anyone who is desperately seeking a counterpoint to the growing epidemic of religious fueled deplorables, is working overtime to get everyone to just forget about the elephant in the room.

(49,533 posts)and not really trying at all?
How would an observer be able to tell if you're trying?
Like if someone made a simple quoting error, and neglected to point out that they were quoting someone else instead of taking the words for themselves, how hard would one have to try to simply apologize for the error and correct it? Would Jesus want you to do that?
