So there are a lot of voices out there in the spiritual world that can talk to you. You can hear angelic voices. You can hear demonic voices. And you can hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. And then theres your own thoughts. The key to learning to hear Gods voice is learning to distinguish the difference between demonic voices, angelic voices, and the voice of the Holy Spirit and your own thoughts.
Heres a thought: If youre hearing voices in your head that are not your own thoughts especially if theyre telling you to harm other people please get professional help. Its not God. Its not Satan. Its not an angel. Its either you, someone playing a trick on you, or something else far more serious.

Allegedly these forces are infinitely more omnipotent and intelligent than they are, so how can they possibly know they aren't being manipulated by the nefarious entity rather than the benevolent one? It's not as if the allegedly benevolent one isn't convincing most of them to hate other people while the so-called evil one isn't having any measurable effect on hate.

(970 posts)The voice or spirit in their head, that they thought was God, or the Holy Spirit, could be a "false spirit."
Ironically, evangelical and other Christians are far more confident about themselves and their beliefs, than the Bible was.

(970 posts)There aren't so many references in the Bible to souls; mostly to "spirit."
If any of those were always right, then why do different Christian churches believe different things?
