And yes, unquestioned obedience is, unfortunately, part of many institutions.

But he clearly missed my point. A priest has more authority than a school teacher or a scout master.

No, the situations are not identical, but authority can be used badly.

He will never, ever acknowledge the uniqueness of the RCC abuse dynamics though. Remember, for him, everything bad is just due to "human nature" and religion is never, ever a factor ANYTIME.
