Glimpses of the Other Side?
Has anyone had any powerful, emotional dreams, which you think they might depict the astral? Or even farther than that?
I have had quiet a few. Of course, they could be just regular dreams, but I'm curious about others experiences.

(1,000 posts)My background in this goes back to 96 when I had my first heart attack from stress. Recuperating for me let me take time to research on the net about stress reduction. What I found were many paths including hypnosis, self-hypnosis, Lucid dreaming, relaxation, and past life regression.
I believe that there is something to it, but I don't know what yet. Through PLR (regression), I have been with my current wife in many earlier lives.
My sense of premonition is much higher than it used to be, but still nothing special. I get feelings before a major earth event earthquakes, severe weather etc, but often nothing other than a geographic location.
I also see a cycle in the strengths but no definition to the cycle.
hope this helps some.

(13,985 posts)We seem to carry "unfinished bussiness", anger, love, all sorts of feelings from past lives. Confronting what bothers us on a subconscious level can definitely bring a real sense of spiritual peace.
I have always been empathic. Always had premonitions. I must have been 5 when my dad and I were getting ready to go to the city ( I grew up in a small village in Europe ). It was winter and my dad was already outside starting the car to warm up the engine. I was still in the kitchen with Mum. I turned towards her and out of the blue I said: Mom, something is going to happen to me today. She turned towards me and said: What are you talking about???! I didn't respond because I didn't have an answer.
Sure enough, not even 5 mins into the drive , a piece of debris hit and shattered the windshield. Back then the glass broke into a thousand pieces. My dad was ok, but I had small pieces of glass all over me, and almost lost my vision, due to a retina injury.
When it happened, i was almast laughing. I "knew" it was going to happen.
This is just an instance of premonition. I've had dozens of instances where I knew the outcome of a situation.
And as far as dreams... One of the most powerful was when I dreamt the Ruins of Atlantis. It was night, and snowing. But it was snowing ash instead of snow. Huge, dark birds ( three of them ) were circling above me. I knew in the dream that they were Phoenix birds... It felt as I was Home.

(1,000 posts)PLR is wonderful for stress and can have physiological effects on the body as well. One of my first regressions was to what I believe was the battle of Hastings in 1066. I left my home, a farm to go to a battle, arrive and was killed almost immediately by a flaming arrow or spear. With my wife's help I changed this into remembering to make and take a shield with me, surviving the battle in my minds eye.
I had been suffering from unstable angina on a daily basis before this regression. After the regression I didn't have an angina attack for over 6 years.
Is it real? Do I really believe that I changed the past? All I really know is that I stopped having angina attacks and weekly runs to the hospital for a very long time.
