I lost a true friend this week
I never new him personally, but at work , he was my mentor, always calm and cool. Before he left , he got me a job of a lifetime. He was a trully honest person. Good in and out. He fought a tough fight, but lost. I will miss him terribly. I learned so much from him. He was only 48, I had never met a more pure honest person. It's so sad to see him go.
Feeling really bad to tonite and needed to share.

(657 posts)He really was something. I learned that a few years ago, but when hospice came in , I went to his house and everyone saw what I saw, he touched so many lives. There was a line of people with my same story, how he had helped them. I am so glad I got to know him. He was a blessing.

(6,436 posts)but I am glad that you knew him- try to be as kind to yourself as he obviously was to you and to the others- that is one way to honor his memory.

(657 posts)He always believed in me and always told me you need more confidence. He said your good but you don't have enough confidence in yourself . Well since he got me this job, I am going for it no fear.

(713 posts)it sounds like you are doing exactly the right thing by going for it, with no fear; not only for yourself, but for him too. I'm sure it will make him very, very proud of you.
