life between lives

on the spirit world:

"Our physical universe appears to coexist with other physical and mental dimensions. These alternative dimensions of consciousness may be layered within our own physical space, parallel to our space, or linked by unknown designs around our dimensions."

"The spirit world is characterized by the forces of creative energy, universal thought, and support for spiritual enlightenment designed for the apparent purpose of training and growth in all Souls' evolution toward perfection. At the same time the spirit world offers a space of quiet contemplation and reflection between lives."

on souls:

"Each soul has a unique immortal character. When joined with the human brain this character is melded with the emotional temperament, or human ego, of that brain to produce one personality for one lifetime."

"Souls appear to be members of specific spirit cluster groups to whom they have been assigned since their creation. The teachers of each group are the personal spirit guides of members of that group. Members of these groups reincarnate with the soul and assume meaningful roles during a soul's life on earth."

the above is from michael newton's website, and his newton institute for life between lives hypotherapy

I have all his books and I've read them all too.

They are page turners. The kind of books you can't put down. And then you go searching for more.

As I read it all rang so true that I knew I had found something to hang onto. I loved the Brien Weiss books as well.

They make sense to me. So interesting too, that he uses research methods and finds consistency in people's experiences.

When I read his books years ago I wished there was a way to check it out myself. I'm gonna have a look at the link--thanks!

There's another book, different author called Courageous Souls. That's interesting too.

they even led me to my first (and only) past life regression session which was fascinating. I can't recommend them enough!

but it was SO expensive. If I remember correctly, I think the LBL sessions were around $400 or $500 and the regular sessions were something like $125. Since my husband and I went together to each have a session, it was just too much money so we both just got the regular session. It was really cool! All kinds of stuff came through but the weird thing is you feel like you are just making stuff up because you are "conscious" for the entire thing. But then a couple days later I got a HUGE validation that was really freaky (in a good way) so I think the past life regressions do work. I would love to go back and have a life between lives session, but it's just so darn expensive!

to the state of incarnating as bacteria, and then erasure/reset (if you need a less awful word than erasure).

and the long, deep negativity certainly doesn't take place over the course of just a few lifetimes. and i think if & when such a thing happens it is an extreme rarity. overall, generally speaking, and assuming things go as planned (with guides and other members of our soul groups), i would say souls are definitely immortal.

through many lives of unerring negativity without new learning. The Jewish mystics and at least one other path discuss this; I do not remember which one.

Most of what we think of as our bodies is commensurate and symbiotic bacteria. They live in our gut and help us digest our food, live on our skin and in its pores, where they help prime our immune systems, etc. In fact, the mitochondria that are "energy factory" organelles inside every cell of our body most likely was once a bacteria species existing in such deep symbiosis that it lost its separate identity.
