I filed my candidacy paperwork for the municipal election this morning at 8 AM Central time.

Maybe not the best planetary influences, but it had to be done this way to have any shot at the top ballot position. So far, I am crossing my fingers. I'll know for sure what my opponent did by tomorrow.

This is the time in any election when (as a candidate) you sit and wonder if you are doing the right thing to even run...

I took my husband out to McDonald's for a cuppa coffee and an Egg McMuffin to celebrate this first milestone.

Gonna go schedule a fundraiser for mid December later today.

I'm just happy to have this one part of the campaign behind me. Lot's mor eto come-but at least this phase is complete!

From here on out it gets busy--then it gets even MORE frenetic! The election is Feb 26 and THEN I'll be able to relax. Seems like there's so much to do!
