Why Syzygy
(18,928 posts)I've attended Unity churches. For someone who is spiritually awake and wants to be part of a community, they are one option. The ones I've attended have lots of classes and activities. I've been to the activities w/o being part of the church. As far as I'm concerned, they are 'all good'. If I'm going to attend church, personally I prefer the Religious Science version.

(9,745 posts)I personally like Religious Science and attend a church here but Unity is very similar.
All New Thought denominations are pretty similar, very deep, spiritual, metaphysical, mystical, embracing all religions and believing in God, as a divine force an energy that pervades all things and beings.....all very wonderful stuff
Unity publishes a small booklet called Daily Word, I believe it is. My mother (who would be over 100 if she were still with us) read these faithfully many years ago. Mother was originally brought up in the Christian Science faith and perhaps found a small connection there with Unity. I'm not a firm believer in anything (probably because I have an open mind to everything), but Unity has my thumbs up.
