Tonight is the eve of the Winter Solstice

Yule officially begins Friday, December 21, at 6:12 a.m., Eastern Standard Time.

Pagan people in northern Europe traditionally celebrated holidays on the evening immediately preceding the day of the event. Tonight, Thursday, December 20, is Winter Solstice eve.

Yule, the Winter Solstice, marks the time of the longest night followed by the shortest day of the year. In a couple of days, the period of sunlight starts increasing until day and night are at equal length at the Spring Equinox.

I wish you all a Happy Yule and better days ahead for the entire world.
