So, I do not think that the US will end up

using military force against Syria.

I think that it was brilliant for President Obama to send this to Congress and I think that the votes against using the action will be roughly 50/50 democratic and republican, but this unusual group will override those for it in the House.

That is what I am feeling.

How about the rest of the members of this group? Does anyone have a sense for how the votes will go?

In my heart I think that President Obama actually wants an out, and this not only gives him the out, but sets exactly the kind of precent that should be set. Wouldn't it be wonderful if going forward Congress actually did have to vote on these matters (as it states in the Constitution?)

I think about those old post from the Psychic Consortium......the image of him swimming zigzaggedly through shark infested waters comes to my mind.

I think the President definitely wants a military strike and believes it is warranted, but it is brilliant to reset the precedence of sending this to Congress for approval. I don't think it will pass.

I recall Psychic Consortium fondly. Miss their posts.

Had Congress rushed back to debate the issue, it might have been different. But with the unwillingness of the pukes to do their jobs, it looks like we might dodge that bullet.

and multiple reps and at least one poll have stated that citizens are against military action by 100:1.

I can't tell whether Obama wants this or not. He is planning 6 interviews on Monday to "take it to the people." He has asked the Pentagon for increased scope options, eg, the # of missile strikes on the table has doubled to 200 and been combined with bombing runs based out of the US.

And Kerry is shockingly gung-ho, trying to push every possible emotional button.

The 2 of them have told straight out lies pushing the attack, so its hard to believe he doesn't want it.

I think he sent it to Congress only after the UK unexpectedly back out, and under threat of impeachment by the GOP if he doesn't. But he does seem to be trying to sell it.

So I'm not convinced he doesn't want to attack. Saudi Arabia has offered to pay for it (they'll make a fortune off the increase in oil prices). AIPAC is pushing hard for it, and they pretty much run our country . And it is an integral part of the PNAC plan to. AIPAC and PNAC want to draw Iran into war, and Syria is the path to that war.

Blue, I don't care whether the GOP refused to come back to vote because they're lazy or obstructionist. Anything that will stop this madness is desperately needed, imo.

have to be for it, and they are sincerely acting the part.

To me it seems like a very clever way around the PTB.

I'm less certain about Obama. But it's a risky gambit, if you are right.

- If the world demands peace, there is no power on earth that can restrain it. If we win the peace at the ''quantum'' level, then we can control our own destiny. But the cost of freedom is eternal vigilance.

"When masses are made to believe something negative, they may create what they did not want, which is how for instance the 'N.W.O.' works. You are believing it is taking shape, so it will take shape and so-called think tanks and political theorists are major players in helping this take shape by bombarding us with the 'facts' that it obviously is taking shape. Those facts claim that you are giving-in to their power everyday, and they control you more... while in reality you are in full control.

So the people who are 'waking up' to it are the ones who are creating it. They say: ''Resist, the control being forced upon humanity. React, when they do their political manueverings to bring about less sovereignty and greater suffering for the nations of the world.''

But we mustn’t resist and react to this control. As Carl Jung said, ''What you resist, persists.'' What the powers that be want is for us to become that radical element (again it doesn’t matter which side we choose -- they always play both sides).

We can be either for them or against them. It doesn't matter. If we react and if we resist, we give them the manipulative power to push the agenda along. By resisting and reacting, we are demonstrating that we believe in the underlying, subliminal and hypnotic suggestion of this reality, thereby making it our reality, and the events they wish to occur concerning humanity, and that they wish to appear real, will occur and then it ''becomes reality.''

Do not pay attention to the 'world events', they are all orchestrated to make you pay attention to them. The struggle you should pay attention to is on a personal level. The way out, is in."
