ESP Story
My brother and I have an uncanny esp connection. I have this with a couple people, namely my brother and my spouse, whom I refer to as RG, the Resident Gourmand.
The incident I had today was with my brother. Here's the story:
A couple days ago I ordered checks. I was going to order the cheapo-plain ones, but then I had to admit to myself that I enjoyed having the checkbooks with wild graphic designs. It makes paying bills a little more pleasant. So since I'd ordered the wild graphics at a slightly higher price, I was clicking around at the site and found a checkbook cover I absolutely loved. I declined to order it, though, as it was too pricey and I already have some checkbook covers, though every one of them is dull-dull-dull.
Here's the cover I liked:
So a few days later, I received this checkbook cover in the mail. I was annoyed because I figured I clicked the wrong button and ordered it inadvertently. The sender's card was in there, so I dropped them an email and told them I was only looking at the checkbook on the site and that I didn't actually order it.
They wrote back and told me it was a gift from my brother.
Now how bizarre is that? He didn't even know I was looking at this particular checkbook cover.
And yet that's the one he chooses for me as one of my
Christmas gifts.
The past experiences I have with him are what I'd call a very deep understanding of certain intellectual processes I'm going through. I don't tell him about what I'm writing or working on, yet somehow he is able to sense research what I need and he sends it to me in the form of a book or a link. Some of this is stuff I'd never find any other way, as my brother is a very different person than I am and thinks an entirely different way.
Anyway, I'm thrilled with my checkbook cover. And oh, btw, I have two black cats and my brother has one.

p.s. with RG, who cooks when he's home, I just think about what I'd like to have for dinner and he makes it. I don't even have to ask--it's just there.
A couple of times a year, we each come home from with the grocery store with exactly the same items.
One time we were both shopping in Whole Foods and didn't know the other was there. We ran into each other in the aisle and in each of our carts were the same items.

(2,151 posts)I feel the connection somewhat with my mother and one sister, usually in the form of getting a phone call when I think of calling them.
Enjoy the checkbook cover.

(12,233 posts)He or I will answer a question that was thought but unspoken and it catches us both off guard... It seems to be when we are busy getting ready and thinking about everything not to forget.
The other item that just freaks me out is that the 2 times now that my sister has been preggo, I start gaining weight and my breasts get tender. We are literally many states away. Kill me to hear people ask when I'm due when I'm seriously having "sympathy" weight gain. And no, I never blow up to look anything past a first trimester, but that's too much weight!
