The Animal Communicator
Anna Breytenbach has dedicated her life to what she calls interspecies communication. She sends detailed messages to animals through pictures and thoughts. She then receives messages of remarkable clarity back from the animals.
Anna can feel the scars hidden under a monkeys fur, she can understand the detailed story that is causing a birds trauma, she transforms a deadly snarling leopard into a relaxed content cat - the whole animal kingdom comes alive in a way never seen before - wild birds land on her shoulders, fish gather around her when she swims, and wild unfamiliar baboons lie on her body as if she is one of their own.
This is the first full length documentary film on the art of animal communication.

(14,881 posts)1. thank you so much for this....
I have had communication experiences with all of my animals, as well as baby birds I rescued for release. But I haven't been good about practicing it every day. When they got to Spirit, I knew almost immediately that they needed to change his name, that even the name they called him by bothered him.
Leaves me with tears...

(18,928 posts)2. I can't watch
her without crying. I googled, and am pursuing every bit of information I can find that involves her teaching and practice.
I've encountered the name issue too. When I took an energy class for my massage license requirement, I went to a private home. After the class, the instructor asked me to evaluate her cat. (You may know this story.) Patches was a calico who had been found on a roadside after being hit. He needed a lot of patching. He still had one front paw he couldn't walk flat on. It bent under. The cat had been taken by the instructor's MIL, who was dying of cancer. After she passed, the cat came to instructor and her husband. I had never made an effort to communicate with animals, even though I knew my pets, and had that familiar intuition. Never considered it. After I visited with the cat, I told her I needed to give it some time. The next day I called her back and told her I think he needs his name changed. She was so excited because when they had found the cat, they named him Skittles, but the MIL wanted to rename him. So she was happy to change his name back.
It was so cool that Spirit knew he needed a new name. What an awesome cat he is. See, I'm crying again! Animals. We need them desperately.

of their thoughts and can respond; but this woman is so gifted. I would love to go to her school.
